Our Adoption Process

1. Find a dog/cat on our website, Instagram, Petfinder, Adopt-a-pet, or adoption events!

2. Submit Application (below)

3. All Adoption Applications will be reviewed by rescue partners. Once approved, we will contact you!

4. Meet the Pet. Meet-n-greets can be done at the foster, adoption event, or sometimes we are able to transport the pet to you for an in-home meet-n-greet.

5. Home Check

6. Sign Adoption Contract

7. Pay Adoption Fee ($150 for 1 kitty, $200 for a kitty pair)

8. Pet will be delivered to you by a rescue partner or pick up scheduled!

*CARE Rescue LA reserves the right to remove our animal for any reason we deem necessary.

*CARE Rescue LA retains ownership of the animal until the adoption process has been completed by a CARE representative and the adoptive party in the form of a written contract signed by both

Will you purchase pet insurance for your pet? (We recommend ASPCA insurance)

Do you agree to pay the adoption fee of $500 per dog? $150 per cat ($200 per bonded pair of kitties)?

(Dog/Cat MUST be returned to CARE Rescue LA if you no longer want the dog/cat for any reason. Taking the dog/cat to a shelter or giving the dog/cat away to another individual will be a breach of the agreement and result in legal action and a fine of $5,000.) Do you agree to this?
